APP FOR THE WEEK PROGRAMME

An “App for the Week” programme was successfully conducted by the 1st year B.Ed Physical Science students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, on 03 February 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall. The programme aimed to introduce a useful mobile application that supports students in their daily life.

The programme began with a formal welcome, followed by the compering done by Athira T.N. The featured application for the week was “Super Alarm”, a mobile application designed to help users manage time effectively through smart alarm features.

The app was presented by Architha Ranjan, who explained the purpose, features, and advantages of the application in a clear and engaging manner. She demonstrated how the app can help students wake up on time, plan their day efficiently, and maintain punctuality. The presentation was informative and well received by the audience.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. S. Sajan, Teacher-in-Charge, and was presided over by Prof. Dr. Smitha R, Principal-in-Charge. The session concluded with a brief interaction and appreciation for the presenter.

The App for the Week programme was conducted by the First Year B.Ed English students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, Research Centre in Education, on 27 January 2026 at 9.30 am in the General Hall. The institution is NAAC A+ accredited with a CGPA of 3.40 in the III cycle. The programme aimed to introduce a useful mobile application that supports daily motivation among students. The session was compered by Krishnapriya C.K, and the app on motivation and daily quotes was presented by Krishna Damodar. The presenter explained the purpose, features, and benefits of the app, highlighting its role in promoting positive thinking and self discipline through regular use. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. S. Sajan, Teacher in Charge, and Prof. Dr. Smitha R, Principal in Charge. The app titled Hello History was introduced, focusing on presenting historical ideas, personalities, and concepts in an interactive and learner-friendly format. The session was compered by Krishnadas S, and the app was presented by Suchithra T S, who explained its key features, content categories, and educational relevance for students and teachers. 6. Proceedings / Report of the Programme
The Research Centre in Education, NSS Training College, Ottapalam conducted an “App for the Week” programme on 06/01/2026 at 9:30 AM in the General Hall. The programme was organised by the 2nd year B.Ed Physical Science students with the aim of introducing the educational app “Quizlet”. The session began with a prayer (Acharyavandhanam), followed by anchoring by Aiswarya T. The B.Ed. Mathematics Optional Students of NSS Training College, Ottapalam, organized an “App for the Week” programme on 4th November 2025 at 9:30 a.m. in the General Hall. The session aimed to familiarize students with a useful educational app that enhances productivity and teaching efficiency.

The event commenced with a prayer and Achayavandanam led by Serene Stanley K and Meera P, creating a positive and respectful beginning to the programme. Sreeshma M V efficiently took up the role of compere, ensuring a smooth flow of events.

The app introduced for the week was Microsoft OneNote, a digital note-taking platform that allows users to organize, share, and access information seamlessly. The presentation was conducted by Fidha T, who elaborated on the app’s features, benefits, and applications in academic and personal productivity contexts.
